Subjects and techniques: Students will learn to use hand-built techniques (coiling, slabbing, carving, mold-making, slip casting, texturize techniques, etc.) to build objects on a diversity of creative subjects (including ornaments, jewelries, vases, pots, bowls, plates, tableware, food miniatures, animals, dulls, etc.). We use various types of high-fire and low-fire glazes, earthy clay (fired in kilns) and colorful polymer clay (baked in ovens) pending on projects. Students get to express their rich creativity while progressing their motor skills! (Ceramic works fired by our kiln are not suggested to hold food or drink.)

Ceramics class is on bi-monthly enrollment. Numbers of classes depend on actual weeks in a month (for example, there might be eight Tuesdays in September and October and nine Thursdays in November and December). Fees are based on actual weeks. We encourage students to attend your own age groups unless your schedule does not allow it.

Sa (6 classes on 11/6, 11/13, 11/20; 12/4, 12/11, 12/16, closed on 11/27, 12/25) $225 for non-members, or $195 for members

Ceramics class is two-month per term. Students that join the class in the middle of the term will be pro-rated. Once students enroll, students need to commit to the weekly class meeting (please see make-up class policies).
